Austin MacRae is a landscape artist, award-winning singer-songwriter, poet and stepdad.  He currently resides in Ithaca, NY, with his wife Rebecca and stepdaughter Erin.  

As an artist, he creates impressionistic landscapes that strike at the heart of the natural world.  Inspired by the landscapes of his youth, MacRae enjoys amplifying light and color in his paintings, which are available online and at several local stores and galleries.

As a singer-songwriter, he has toured for eight years around the Northeast and beyond, playing house concerts and in other intimate listening rooms.  He has recorded four albums of original material, most recently New Weather, a collection of songs about his experience as a stepfather.

As a poet, MacRae has published widely in national journals and magazines.  In 2012 he published a book of poems, The Organ Builder, with Dos Madres Press of Loveland, OH.
